Expert Comments

The 1854 Proof 3 Cent Silver is one of the rarest proofs in the short lived 3 Cent series. About 30 examples are believed to exist for the 1854 Proof 3 Cent Silver in all grades combined. This coin is very rare in any condition and in PR65 and PR66 condition they are almost unknown. This issue is seldom available in the marketplace, so don't be too picky when it comes to finding an example of this date.
