The 1848 Seated Liberty Half Dollar is a scarcer date. Collectors should not be too picky when trying to find this coin, as not too many graded examples appear often. Even in circulated grades, this coin is not always easy to find. In Uncirculated condition, this issue is very scarce and tough to locate. Examples in MS64 are considered condition census material and in MS65 or higher, they are very rare.
