The 1843 Repunched Date Dime (aka FS-301 and Fortin-102) is a rather obvious variety (Fivaz and Stanton call this "a vivid repunched date") since each of the digits in the date shows strong repunching. The first date was punched into the die too high, then the engraver corrected the error by centering the date in a more proper position. It does not appear that any attempt was made to efface the original date by grinding down the die.
This is a scarce variety, but it does not carry much of a premium over the common varieties of the 1843 Dime. The best example we've seen is a PCGS MS63.
