Quickfinder Notes: The Medium Date comes with the Rev of 1842. It is easily distinguished by the crossbar of the 4 which ends in a CROSSLET. The Small Date used much smaller numeral punches with a PLAIN end to the crossbar of the 4. The Medium Date is about two and a half times more common than the Small Date.PCGS #
