The 1841 Half Dollar has a fairly low mintage of only 310,000 coins, but it is easy to obtain in most grades. Nearly two dozen Mint State examples are known and the Condition Census includes coins from MS64 to MS65. The best coin is a single PCGS MS65 which last appeared on the market in 2004. It wasn't in the Eugene Gardner collection, which contained the best of the best, so we wonder 1) when it will reappear and 2) how much it is worth in today's market.
