Newcomb 5. Crack from field below star 11 through top of date through stars 1-3 ending at rim above star 4. Crack from rim above star 5 through stars 6-11. Reverse perfect. CAC sticker. Purchased from David Kahn at the 2019 ANA.

The 1841 Large Cent can be found with little difficulty uncirculated graded up to about XF condition. In AU condition they are scarcer. Once we get into Uncirculated grades they become much tougher to find, especially in MS65 or higher. Examples displaying Red Brown surfaces are also much tougher than Brown examples. And in Red they are almost unknown.
