Approximately seven Proof examples are known of the 1835 Qurter Dollar.  Only one example is of the Browning-1 variety; the remaining examples are all of the Browning-7 variety.  The finest non-Cameo Proof appears to be the PCGS PR64+ formerly of the John Jay Pittman collection, sold in 1998 for $38,500.  The finest Cameo Proof is the PCGS PR65+CAM from the Garrett Collection, which sold for an incredibly high $75,000 way back in 1980.  The overall price record for a Proof 1835 Quarter is only slightly higher -- $76,375 earned by an NGC PR64 in 2015.
