All Proof Classic Head Half Cents are considered scarce to rare. The 1835 Proof Half Cent is considered rare, as it is estimated that about 12 -20 examples exist in all grades combined. Obtaining an example in any condition is a challenge, as few examples turn up in the marketplace every year. Collectors should not be picky when it comes to this issue, as any example in any condition is considered a great coin.
