The 1835 Cohen 2 Half Cent is a very common variety and one of two varieties that comprise all of the 1835 Half Cents. The main difference between the two varieties is in the spacing of the ST of STATES. On Cohen 1, ST is spaced farther apart than on Cohen 2, but similar to that of the other letters of STATES. On Cohen 2, ST is spaced closer, much more so than any of the other letters of STATES. The best way to tell the difference between the two varieties is to compare images of both.PCGS #
