The 1828 Overton 122 Half Dollar is slightly scarce, but not so much that is becomes excessively priced.  On this variety, the base of the 2 is flat (squared) as opposed to curled; the 8's of the date are small; and the letters in the legends on the reverse are large.

Mint State examples of this variety are very rare, with only a handful known.  The finest example is a single PCGS MS66 -- a colorful coin with amazing eye appeal (see above).
