1826 1/2C, BN AU58BN Certification #83807060, PCGS #1144

The 1826 Half Cent is a relatively common date that can be found with ease in most circulated grades and in Mint State grades up to MS64.  In Gem condition, this datre becomes very rare and none have been certified above MS65.  PCGS has certified half a dozen Red-Brown examples, but none in full Red.  Two die marriages (die varieties) are known for this date, both of which are of roughly equal rarity.
