The highest graded 1823/2 Large Cent is the fabulous Dan Holmes AU-58 in the photo above. It has choice surfaces of glossy brown and frosty golden tan. Hints of faded mint color about the devices produce an intoxicating halo effect. The reverse is identified for posterity by patches of dark olive toning.PCGS #
