1811 1C, BN VF35BN Certification #37178933, PCGS #1555
Owner's Comments
Sheldon 287. Purchased from the February 23, 2025 David Lawrence auction, lot 811598 where it was partially described as" A tough early Large Cent, elusive at this level. Glossy surfaces are crisply defined with even rub across the highpoints".

1811 Large Cents come with either "Normal" dates or as an 1811/0 overdate. It is possible to attribute these varieties by the reverse alone. The overdate has a raised, horizontal line below the E of ONE which is visible even on low grade examples. If the mark is absent, the coin is a "Normal" Date.
