About This Set:
Barber coin collector since I was a kid in the 1970's. Always enamored with well circulated examples that were part of an era in which my grandparents in Connecticut struggled to create a better life for my parents and my siblings. To me, the lower the grade of the barber, the more hard working people that built this great country had a touch on the coin.
For the last quarter century I drive to Florida from Connecticut with my family over the holidays. As part of my custom to get away from the craziness of working in the local ER back home, I have spent countless hours in local Florida coin shops adding to my barber halves, quarters, and dimes. My barber lowballs represent decades of collecting.

You must have a box full of PCGS Barber halves. Lowball coins are addictive.
Lowball looks easy until you try it. I found that out with Morgan dollars. You have put together some very impressive collections. Although few uncirculated examples of the Barber half exist, finding a true lowball example that is gradable isn't easy. Thanks for sharing the story of this set and I wish you all the best in moving this set forward.
