Trial issue struck for the 1976 Montréal Olympics featuring an unadopted background design. A new discovery and the only known specimen. From the estate of Derek Dawson, Former Director of Products and Logistics, and Chairman of the Olympic Coin Design Committee.
KM-96. A robust, vibrant Gem, this minor represents the first year of issue and offers mostly gray surfaces that are dominated by a palette of olive, sea foam green, and burnt sienna. Tied with just two other specimens for the finest in the PCGS census.

KM-12. Presenting an incredible tone on each side, this minor will certainly entertain the eye of the lover of exotic color. A seafoam green and amber nature is noted on the obverse, while a ring of burnt sienna and cobalt dominates the reverse.
