The Toned Beauties

About This Set: This set was built with a focus on eye appeal before grade. I fell in love with toned proof mercury dimes after purchasing the 1937 coin in this set. The way the toning sits on the brilliant surfaces is gorgeous to me. Proof mercury dimes are plentiful, a "dime a dozen," but finding them with beautiful toning can be a real challenge, especially in the early years. Built over the course of 5 years on a college student's budget, this set is being retired as I start a new chapter in medical school.

I dedicate this set and my efforts to the late Mike Hayes, who was a generous mentor and fellow collector, but most importantly a dear friend.
