About This Set: This series has always been my favorite. There was just something about the "Big 3" that was intriguing to me as a youth. I had a circulated Barber quarter set without the "Big 3" when I was in junior high, but I sold it for a stereo system for my 1978 Camaro when I was in high school (I guess my priorities changed a little.) However, I never lost interest with this set or coins in general. Having an almost entire PCGS AU58 set (except for the 01-S) is a dream come true. I would like to first thank my buddy Lenny Rizzo for being a terrific collecting colleague and just a darn good friend in general. I think it's safe to say that without his help, I would be no where ... thanks Paesan!! I would also like to thank my good friend Vern Sebby for the hundreds of pictures he has taken of all the coins I sent to him as well as his very astute opinions of my coins. Vern also hooked me up with a couple of terrific coins as well including the awesome 01-S in AU53 that he purchased from Lenny (Vern and Lenny both went above and beyond the call of duty and worked with me to obtain this rarity in 2021) and most recently the superb 09-O in AU58 - what a find!! Lastly, I would like to thank Labelman87 (Craig Timony) for the near spectacular 1896-S in 58 when he sold his really nice set back in 2019, and to Liz Coggan for the wonderful 1913-S in 58 that she sold to me when the George Harrison collection sold back in 2020. It was the 01-S from Vern/Lenny and the 13-S from Liz that pushed me over the top in 2021. It took every dime I had for quite a while, but I have absolutely NO regrets. In retrospect, I bought my first PCGS BQ back in 2011, a 1915 in XF45 from Dave Kahn. It was a humble, small and casual beginning. As time went on, it became an intense effort and quite a journey. As Vern has said on more than one occasion, "what a great hobby."

P.S. 1-11-24, acquired the lone (until recently) 1901-S Barber Quarter in PCGS AU58 to my set. A full set of PCGS AU58 Barber Quarters ... a dream has come true.

I agree with Vern, the 1901-S final capstone was significant and now rests within one of the greatest Barber Quarter collections ever built! Your achievement is one I will remember... and others will recall for generations. Congratulations!
