The 1940s decade Mint Set is interesting, not only for a the new dime in 1946 and the new half dollar two years later, but for the emergency issues during World War II which included new metal compositions for the cent in 1943 and the nickel from 1942-1945. While there are no significant rarities in this set, competition for the top quality rating makes this an interesting race.
