About This Set: Collecting Capped Bust Coinage has been my favorite collecting passion. The elegance of the designs embossed by hand made dies with screw presses provides a charm that cannot be missed. Luckily, many coins are available from this 1807 to 1839 period during which our young republic was undergoing emmense changes. Almost all dates can be found in AU to MS condition, granted a few are nearly impossible to find in that range. This set will require great patience and some luck. It took over twenty years to assemble my Capped Halves and there are quite a few near impossible dates and varities in the small change, which in general have fewer coins available.
