1944 3D S-4112 VF35 PCGS #203321

PCGS authenticated this 1944 Great Britain brass threepence (S-4112) as a genuine Mint Error – Obverse Lamination. The defect runs across King George VI’s portrait, exposing a distinct split in the planchet metal from minting. Certified VF35, it displays strong detail and attractive even toning for the grade. Population report shows 0 others with this error attributed, making this piece uniquely recorded under PCGS cert #53938095. Error likely occurred from an impure alloy mix during the wartime brass planchet production of 1944. Excellent example of a lamination flaw on a World War II–era British coin.
