HAN Collection

Begining with 1981 the Royal Canadian Mint (in Ottawa) officially started producing Proof quality collector coins incorported in the 7 (and later 8) coin Prestige sets.

The 5 cent piece is struck in frosted relief against brilliant (mirror) fields.

1982 - 1995; comp. Cupro-Nickel (75%Cu/25%Ni),
1996 - 2005; comp. Ster. Silver (92.5%Ag/7.5%Cu),

Note; 1982 tends to tone golden-russet hues. From 1996 on minted in Sterling Silver.
