Sixpence, 1697, third laureate, draped and cuirassed bust right, rev. large crowned shields cruciform, four strings to late harp, angles plain, edge obliquely milled, 2.87g, 7h (Bull 1233; ESC 1566; Spink 3538), a bolder portrait strike for issue, arrestingly brilliant, choice as struck. Purchased Spink 22004, Lot 65 (Jan 23, 2022).
Sixpence, 1825. Laureate head left, rev. crowned shield in garter, (S.3814, ESC.2427). Medium golden tone over original brilliance, uncirculated. Purchased AMR Coins, December 20, 2021.
