About This Set: As I retire my set of barber quarters I'd like to thank the many friends I've made the last seven years for their assistance. It's been a privilege to own the treasured coins in my collection. I rate the AU coins in my collection in five categories: originality, surface quality, luster, strike, and eye appeal. Each coin is rated on a scale from one to ten in each category, with ten representing the highest score. A coin with an overall score of 50 would be a perfect, unimprovable coin in all regards. I value originality and problem free surfaces above all else. Luster and strike are important attributes as well, but are not as high on my list. I would much rather have a perfect original AU50, 53, or 55 coin than a dipped, hair-lined, or otherwise impaired AU58.
Many thanks to my buddy Vern Sebby for the great photos.

Very nice and evenly matched set. I love it! It would be nearly impossible to duplicate a set like this. Wow!

Congratulations on locating the nicest AU 1901-S that was available on the open market. I' m keeping my eyes open for another that has been off the market for over 10 years. It's not going to happen any time soon, that's for sure !

I love this collection. That 1901-s is RARER than a mint state one.
