About This Set:
There are 15 different coins in this set through the year 2000. While these coins carry the value of one dollar, they contain an ounce of .999 silver, so they never circulate. While intended as a "bullion" coin, the beautiful obverse design of A. A. Weinman (borrowed from the Walking Liberty half dollar) has captured the fancy of collectors. The first example that was graded MS70 many years ago traded for $3,500! A great entry-level set.
