About This Set: This Superb set of Eisenhower Mint State Dollars has taken over 20 years to assemble. Most every coin was found after searching through mint sets, rolls and blue pack Ikes.

Many examples are among the finest known including an outstanding Peacock toned 1973-P MS66, Peacock toned 1974-P in MS66, a toned 73-D in MS67, a recently aquired 72-D in 67, a 1974-D in MS67, , a 77-P in MS67, a 77-D in MS67, a 1978-P in MS67, and a superb Peacock Hoard toned 1976-D Type II in MS67. Also included is a superb rainbow toned 72-D in MS66. Another recently aquired Ike is a 1971-D that makes the 72-D look white. The coin was graded MS66 by PCGS (it'll go back in for a 67).

There is also an excellent run of Silver Mint State Ikes all bright white, with the exception of three Peacock Hoard Ikes graded MS68, two 1972-S' and a 1974-S. Two recent additions are a 72-S and 73-S in MS69. The 73-S is a pop 4 coin.

Two other recent additions are a 1972-P Type II MS 66 (1 of 5 known) and a 1972-P Type I MS66 (1 of 4 known). This goes along with a 72-P Type III in MS66 (1 of 13 known).

Additionally the following major errors are a part of the set: 1976-D Type II Struck on 40% Silver Planchet - Graded MS64 by PCGS. This is believed to be one of 2-3 coins knonwn. 1974-D struck on 40% silver planchet. Coin is graded PCGS MS62 and is bright white. Added just one week later a 1977-D struck on a 40% silver planchet. This coin is graded PCGS AU58. Also included is a 1978-P PCGS MS65 40% off-center Ike and a 1978-P MS64 Ike struck on a Phil Peso planchet (The coin is perfectly centered).
